Friends, if we are missing out on God's grace then, let us follow today's second reading and turn to Christ in faith because the grace of God is dispensed only through and by the Lord Jesus Christ. Wisdom is exceedingly important today as it was over two thousand years ago. We need it more than anything else we need. We need it to govern ourselves and others, whether we are managing a family or leading a community or governing an entire nation. The good news is that God promises to give us the wisdom we need for every decision we have to make. Since it belongs to Him, Job (12:13), we must pray to receive it. Read more »
Today's second reading is from the first letter of Saint Paul to Timothy. Who is Timothy? Timothy is a close friend of Paul and a fellow believer. He accompanies Paul on his missionary journeys to many places and eventually becomes a leader of the Christian community at Ephesus. Read more »
