The cost of becoming a true and faithful disciple of Jesus is indeed high. The cost could be avoided if we are non-believers or non-Christians. But since we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and, have decided to follow Him, we are called upon to love Him more than our possessions, our families or ourselves; to carry our own cross and give up everything we have to follow Him.
