From today we shall read and reflect on all the events which took place in the last days of Jesus’ life on earth. The whole celebration is very significant not only to Christians but to all human beings because those momentous events have changed the history of humankind and the lives of millions of people. I believe that just pondering the events for a few fleeting moments can change the life of anyone with pure devotion and faith. Read more »
If we put on Christ at first we may find it difficult and unnatural or feel uncomfortable. But if every day we just keep putting on Christ and bear with pain and suffering, we will day by day, grow to look more like him. Read more »
If we do not keep the commandments of the Lord as we have promised to, we naturally deny Jesus himself. Like Peter, we may have promised devotion to and love for our parents, spouse, children and friends. But we may break our promises and deny our love and care for them when we think they have failed us miserably. We often go back on our promises, when challenges come our way. Read more »
Jesus Christ is the anointed one of God who came to save people from the darkness of sin. He died on a wooden cross, not for his wrong doings but for the sins of the world so that people would not be condemned, and he rose again on the third day as he had predicted. We may regularly go to church, say all our prayers, sing hymns, participate in all the religious activities, celebrate many more Easters, and yet not be moved or changed a bit in our life. We can still be the same as we were yesterday. Read more »
