Remember, our God is still a God of love and mercy who does not ever want even those who reject Him to suffer forever. He loves us so passionately that in His goodness, He offers us a way of out of any situation that we are faced with. Today, as we stand once again before the empty tomb, with awe and wonder, with praise and adoration, with thanksgiving and gratitude, we shall pray to our Risen Lord Jesus Christ that He may show us in the emptiness of our lives, the fullness of His glory; that He may give us courage to endure all disappointments, hardships, trials, uncertainty, distress and sadness; that He may free us from the fear of death and dying; and that He may fill our hearts with hope, love, joy and peace. John’s experience on the island of Patmos is a reminder of the possibility of great spiritual experience under adverse conditions. At times, we may also find ourselves in those circumstances of John – feeling exiled, isolated and abandoned in some way. But we do not need to fear death nor the evil powers because Christ is the Lord over all of life’s circumstances. Read more »
