God does not remain a distant spectator of our suffering but He participates in our suffering. He emphasizes, and delivers us from all suffering. To be healed of our illnesses and diseases or to be made clean or to be delivered from suffering, we must commend ourselves to His mercy; we cannot demand it as a debt, but we must humbly request it as a favor. The biggest temptation most of us are faced with in the wilderness is to just give up; temptation to stop trying to live good lives; temptation to be impatient, unkind, envious, arrogant, selfish, untruthful, greedy, self-centred, unfaithful and evil. When God wants to bless us He also wants to prepare us for his blessings. This is necessary as God’s blessings are so powerful and plenty. One way that God uses to prepare us for the blessings is putting our faith to the test. Read more »
